Birthday, Easter & Visitors.....

I celebrated my 25Th birthday on Eater Sunday with my little princess,
GH(gorgeous husband) and my husbands family.

This was Natalie's first time at blowing out a birthday candle she was very excited!!

I had a really great day, I spent the day getting extra cuddles off my princess! Having Natalie share my birthday this year made it a birthday I will never forget!!

AS it was my little princess first Easter we brought her a Easter bunny teddy and let her play with my Easter eggs, watch out next year when she will be old enough for chocolate..... Hopefully some home made gifts will take the place of some of the chocolate.....

My Sister Jellywaresand her 2 girls, my Mum and my Sister Samantha came for a visit.
It was absolutely wonderful I enjoyed there stay so much if only we had more time. As I have been feeling abit homesick here in Bendigo. We moved to Bendigo in the start of January from Cobar and the last couple of months I have been really homesick as my GH(gorgeous husband) works in the mines on shift work. He works 7 days on followed by 7 days of followed by 7 nights on followed by 7 days off etc. The 7 days while he is at work takes for ever to finish and makes it abit lonely for me ad my princess....
We decided to hit the shops of Bendigo while the girls visited, we had a ball. I got some great bargain's for my little princess.
We also went to the Bendigo wool mills and stocked up on some of there beautiful wool. I got some purple, some pink and some navy wool. Iam thinking of making a little dress for my little princess and a couple of cardigan's and some toys....

April has been a very busy month for us here but I have had time to do abit of knitting.
I knitted up a few washcloths.

A Rose washcloth

A Easter bunny washcloth

A Butterfly washcloth

The washcloths where easy and quick to make.
I didn't like the yarn of the Easter bunny washcloth it was 'Patons washed haze'. I won't use this yarn again I found it didn't knit up very nice!!

I loved the butterfly washcoth and will make it again, I loved the yarn I used for it it would be nice knitted in a vest or even a shrug....

It will be my first mothers day this Sunday. Iam very excited s we are going to start a little tradition. I think GH will make breakfast with my little princess maybe pancakes as they are my favourite!!

What traditions do you have on mother's day??

Where has the time gone......

It is funny how time slips by so quickly. I can't believe we are is April already and it is nearly Easter (and my birthday) which is Easter day this year Lucky me chocolates and presents!!
We have been very busy in my house.
My little princess turned 9 months a couple of weeks ago, she is becoming such a big girl it makes my heart melt...

I finally finished my knitting projects I started...

One completed scarf...

I thought the scarf turned out great! When I finished this scarf I felt such pride as it was my first knitting project completed! I Loved how the wool knitted up and loved the color! It should be nice and warm for winter

One completed bib...

So I tried a pattern and knitted up a bib... Following a pattern wasn't as hard as thought. As I knitted up the bib following the pattern reading patterns weren't as complicated as I once thought they where.

Bitten by the knitting bug...
I excitedly browsed through the patterns on Ravelry to find my next masterpiece....
And decided to Knit my little princess a shrug....

So far so good.... Only one little problem... I was knitting along going great and I reached the m1 increase. Th problem is I have never done a m1 increase. So I got out my knitting book (Stitch and Bitch by Debbie Stoller) and looked up how to do a m1 increase. I followed the books instructions however something went wrong and ended up with a hole!! So I tried again and same thing another hole!!
Not to worry I asked my mum in law Denise if she could save me as she is an excellent knitter!! And she only lives an hour away. I sent my knitting over to her to unpick for me and she sent it back so being a lite bit anxious and abit impatient I hopped onto google and googled m1 increase I found a great tutorial. So I got my shrug again and tried the m1 increase again only to get a hole again!!
Now the shrug is on hold.
This time I am waiting to this weekend as we are going over to Denise's and she can show me this time how to do it this time. Years to come I will probably look back and laugh at my m1 increase attempts. The joys of learning to knit.

We decided to go for a visit back home to Cobar last weekend. It was great seeing everybody! Natalie enjoyed herself so much as she got to play with all of her cousins the stay wasn't long enough, but it never is. I had such a great time catching up with all of my family and friends.

As you can see we have been busy in our house.

We are off to Denise's on Friday for the Easter weekend and my birthday should be a great weekend as my DH auntie and uncle are coming for the weekend. Plus there will be loads of chocolate which will definitely make it a great weekend...

New arrival

We headed off to Melbourne on Tuesday to pick up our new puppy Sally from the airport as she was getting flown to Melbourne airport from Bathurst from Davmac breeders.

With a very warm welcome from everyone including PussPuss I think Sally will settle in just fine.

We decided to get Sally due to losing our Sophie to a snake bite in Janurary. We miss our Sophie girl very much she will always have a special spot in our hearts....

We Love you Sophie!!

Friendly visit

When we woke up on Sunday morning I could here the faint cry of a little kitten. When I went for a look I discovered a little kitten up in the tree in our backyard. After rescuing the little kitten from out of the tree and teaching my beautiful puppy Jacko not to attack the kitten. The kitten was happy and quiet content to lay in the sun in the backyard. I asked the neighbours if they where missing a kitten, No owners...I gave PussPuss something to eat. PussPuss is very friendly and loves to be cuddled. So we decided to keep him. I gave him a bath and plan to take him to the vet to get checked over he is such a little sweetie. My little princess face lights up everytime she see's PussPuss

Jacko has now become friends with PussPuss which is fantastic....

Where to start....

Here we go second time round... Iam starting a new blog for the second time round. To share my life treasures and adventures.

Abit about me...

Iam in my 20's

I have been married since September 2007 to the man of my dreams. We have a beautiful little princess who is 8 months old.

We live in Bendigo Victoria.

We have a handsom Jack Russell dog 'Jacko' who is very spoilt!

We lost our female Jack Russell 'Sophie' about 2 months ago when we moved to Bendigo, she died from a snake bite.

Over the past month I have taught myself to knit... My Mum and sisters are fantastic knitters if only I paid attention when Mum was trying to teach me...

So I got the book 'Stitch and Bitch', some needles and some wool and with my dreams stored in the back of my mind of all the great things I could make esspically for my 8 month old Princess.

I decided to start with a simple ribbed scarf.

With 90% of the scarf done and signed up to ravelry I couldn't help myself so I decided to have a go at a pattern and I started "Easy Peasy Baby Bib'

It all seems to be going ok so far with the knitting....
